Garbage and recyclable collections for Thanksgiving holiday

In observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, there will be no garbage or recyclables collection on Thursday, November 26.

Residents who normally receive collection on Thursday will receive service on Wednesday, November 25. Residents who receive Friday collection will receive their regularly scheduled service on Friday, November 27.

During this holiday season, residents are encouraged to recycle, compost leftovers that you don't expect to use or take leftovers to a local shelter. If you plan on frying your turkey this holiday, remember not to pour fried turkey grease in the sink or on the ground. Instead, take the left over grease to the City's HHW facility located at 7030 Culebra.

The Solid Waste Management Department encourages residents to set out their trash or recycling bin by 7:00 a.m. on their designated collection date to avoid a missed collection.
