Citizens reminded of parking regulations during First Friday

The City of San Antonio reminds citizens of the rules for parking during the First Friday events from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. in the Southtown and King William area. Residential parking regulations will be in effect tomorrow, Friday, July 3. No parking is allowed in neighborhoods surrounding the First Friday event. In addition, participants are advised to adhere to the City’s parking restrictions within neighborhoods and maintain roadway access for emergency vehicles.

Participants are encouraged to take advantage of the free parking available at the City’s Durango parking lots across the street from the Federal Courthouse. Citizens should also use caution when parking near fire hydrants, parking within 25-feet of an intersection and parking against traffic.

In addition to parking regulations, participants are reminded that no open containers are allowed and independent food booths will not be permitted at the event. First Friday features an array of locally made arts and crafts. For more information, contact 207-3677.
