Christmas, New Year's holidays schedule of City services

City Hall and most municipal offices will be closed Thursday, December 24, Friday, December 25 and Friday, January 1, to observe the Christmas and New Year's Day holidays. City services will operate as follows during the two holidays:

• Central Library and all branch libraries will be closed December 24 and 25 and January 1.
  
• Municipal Court, 401 S. Frio, will be closed December 24 and 25 and January 1.
  
• Free parking will be available at downtown parking meters on December 24 and 25 and January 1.
  
• City Base, Las Palmas, Oak Ridge Plaza and Valley View Community Link Centers will be closed December 24 and 25 and January 1.
  
• South Park Mall Community Link Center will be open December 24 from 10:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.; closed December 25 and open on January 1 from 10:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.
  
• The El Mercado Building and the Farmers Market Building at Market Square will close at 2:00 p.m. on December 24 and December 31. Both facilities will be closed on December 25.
  
• The Bitters Brush Recycling Center, 1800 Bitters Road, will be closed December 24, 25 and January 1.
  
• Household Hazardous Waste Drop-off Center, 7030 Culebra, will be closed December 25 and 26
  
• All municipal golf courses and facilities will be closed December 25.
  
• Dead animal collection crews, animal care officers, and police, fire and EMS personnel will be on duty as usual.
