Public Meeting set to discuss Roosevelt Corridor Re-investment Plan

Councilwoman Jennifer V. Ramos and the City’s Planning and Development Services Department are holding a public meeting to discuss the proposed Roosevelt Corridor Re-investment Plan and Roosevelt Metropolitan Corridor Overlay District at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 12 at the Gilbert Elementary School Cafeteria, located on 931 E. Southcross.

The Roosevelt Corridor Reinvestment Plan area includes both sides of Roosevelt Avenue from Lone Star Blvd. to the north, to Loop 410 to the south. Community stakeholders will have an opportunity to review and comment on strategies that have been identified for encouraging reinvestment along the Roosevelt Corridor. These strategies include infrastructure projects, community-based initiatives, and design standards for new construction.

Additional public meetings will be scheduled to allow the public to review and comment on subsequent sections of the plan.
