Non-essential City employees advised to report to work at noon on Wednesday

- Garbage collection to resume Thursday -

The City of San Antonio began releasing non-public safety employees from work at 3:30 p.m. today, due to the icy weather conditions. These employees will report to work at noon on Wednesday, January 17 and should check the front page of the City’s website at sanantonio.gov for updates on any changes, as well as watch and listen to the local news media for updates pertaining to City work schedules.

Essential employees will remain on duty and report to work according to the direction of their supervisor. These employees include the following: Fire, Police, Public Works, Aviation, 311/Customer Service, some Health and Community Initiatives personnel.

There will be no garbage collection tomorrow. Collections will resume on Thursday, January 18.
