It's time to bowl

San Antonio is getting ready to bowl. Excitement is building as preparations are underway for the 16th Annual Valero Alamo Bowl.

The Alamo Bowl, which features teams from the Big 12 and Big Ten conferences, is scheduled to take place at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, December 29. Official notice of which teams will be participating in the bowl game has not yet occurred, but football fans of teams that may be participating and fans alike are encouraged to start making plans for their week-long stay in San Antonio.

Events that will be taking place during this week-long football celebration include the AT&T Fan Zone, The Corporate Express Pregame Party, The Valero Alamo Bowl Ball, The Wells Fargo Kickoff Luncheon and "The Original" Rudy's Bar-B-Q Pep Rally which is one of the most exciting events of the bowl week. Fans of the two schools line the banks of the Riverwalk as their team floats down the river to the Arneson River Theatre for a very spirited pep rally.
