Don't miss the opportunity to hone your talents on a public stage and take a shot at a $1,000 cash prize by competing in the 2007 Our Part of Town Talent Competition.

City Council district auditions and shows are scheduled throughout the summer months. Performers compete in auditions in their respective Council Districts. In the past, talents have ranged from piano solos to vocalists singing ranchera music to dance numbers.

Age categories are 12 years old and under; 13-19 years old; and 20 years old and older. Active duty military personnel have their own category and may audition in any of the 10 City Council districts.

Winners in the three age categories and a new military category receive $1,000 cash prizes from Time Warner Cable Co. First and second runners-up in each category will receive premium bags from Time Warner. Plaques will be issued to the overall winners and the first and second runners-up. All participants receive certificates.

The talent shows are free and open to the public. This program is made possible by the generous corporate sponsorship of Time Warner Cable Co.
