Municipal Court extends night court service

Municipal Court is extending its service to the community through new convenient night court hours. The new hours for non-jury trials, which began June 1, are as following:

Monday
and Thursday - 5:00 p.m., 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
Tuesday and Wednesday - 4:00 p.m., 5:00 p.m., 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

In addition to the new extended hours, arraignments can be heard until 8:00 p.m. on Fridays. This evening service will benefit people who need to make arrangements to pay tickets or fines.

Municipal Court judges and staff handle offenses that violate City ordinances or state statues and are punishable by fine only. Some of the most common cases involve traffic and parking violations, code violations as well as family violence offenses.
