Luminaria 2009
Arts night in San Antonio

Celebrate the arts at Luminaria on Saturday, March 14 . Luminaria, which means a small clever light that conjures up creative ideas and inspires waves of innovation, is an all day celebration that will highlight San Antonio's premier artists and art organizations through visual, performing, multi-media, theatre, dance, music and other artistic forms.

For one day, from 6:00 p.m. to midnight, San Antonio will revel in the city's wealth of traditional and innovative cultural expression on the streets of downtown. This year's event will feature more than 40 non-profit organizations and several hundred artists and performers.

This unique event, which began in 2008, was inspired by the success of the international art celebrations in Paris and Madrid.

Be a part of the Luminaria 2009, a celebration showcasing San Antonio's diverse artistic community. For more information about the event visit www.luminariasa.org. Luminaria is presented by Bank of America in partnership with the City of San Antonio, Stumpf Farrimond Attorneys at Law, theFund, the City's Office of Cultural Affairs and the Ford Motor Company.
