Order the City's official Christmas cards now

There is less than two months left until Christmas. To help you get a head start on your holiday greetings the City of San Antonio is selling their official Christmas cards beginning Thursday, November 20.

Each year, the City invites elementary, middle and high school students to participate in the Parks and Recreation Department’s “Christmas in San Antonio” Student Art Contest. This annual event gives area youth an opportunity to express their talent while also receiving recognition. Each year, hundreds of students from around the city submit extremely colorful and creative entries.

This year's overall winner is 11-year-old Christin Engelberth from Harris Middle School. Engelberth's artwork will be displayed on the City’s Christmas cards. Thirty-five other works from area students will be on display at the Children's Museum during the month of December.

Cards can be ordered by calling the Parks and Recreation Department at 207-3133. The cards will also be available at all City Community Link Service Centers and at the Parks and Recreation offices located at 5800 Old Highway 90 west. The cost is $7 for a box of 10.

For more information, call (210) 207-3133.
