Get a head start on your holiday greetings by ordering the City of San Antonio’s
official Christmas Card.
Each year, the City invites elementary, middle and high school
students to participate in the Parks and Recreation Department’s 2006
“Christmas in San Antonio” Student Art Contest. This annual art
contest gives area youth an opportunity to express their talent while
also receiving recognition. Each year, hundreds of students from
around the City submit extremely colorful and creative entries. This
year, 13-year-old Larry Mireles of San Antonio Christian Schools
captured the top prize. Mireles’ artwork will be displayed on the
City’s Christmas cards.
Christmas in San Antonio cards can be ordered by calling the Parks and
Recreation Department at 207-3133. The cards will also be available at
all four City of San Antonio Community Link Service Centers beginning
Monday, Nov. 20, and at the Parks and Recreation Offices in the
Catholic Life Building, Suite 700. The cost is $7 for a packet of 10.
