MLK Commission Seeks Nominees for Distinguished Achievement Award

Committed to human rights, equal educational opportunity and economic well-being for all – these are the qualities the City of San Antonio Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission is seeking as it looks to present the 2007 Martin Luther King, Jr. Distinguished Achievement Award. Residents are encouraged to nominate members of the community who have a personal record of achievement in these areas.

Nomination forms are now available on the City’s website at www.sanantonio.gov/mlk and can be found in the San Antonio Express-News on various days during the coming months. Nominees must be Bexar County residents, 21 years of age or older, and exhibit and practice personal beliefs and qualities consistent with those of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. All nominations must be postmarked by the deadline date of December 30, 2006, and should be mailed to:
