Be a fan of Project Cool
As the temperatures begin to rise, the City of San Antonio wants
everyone to remember the elderly community.
The City is once again teaming up with residents and
several local corporate and human service organizations to collect and
distribute electric box fans to help elderly citizens who may suffer
most from high summer temperatures.

Don’t let a
good can of paint go to waste
City’s Graffiti Abatement Program kicks off paint drive
Do you have a good
can of paint lying around your garage? If you have cans of paint
sitting around your home collecting dust then the City has a
proposition for you. The City’s Housing and Neighborhood Services
Department’s Graffiti Abatement Program in partnership with the
Solid Waste Management Department is looking to collect several good
gallons of paint as they kick-off their annual paint drive to
collect paint for the 2009 Graffiti Wipeout event.
Recycling the
right way
This
summer, the Solid Waste Management Department is challenging San
Antonio residents to learn the do's and don'ts of recycling.
Recycling is the key to managing your solid waste. The more
recyclable items you place in the blue cart the more space you will
have in the brown. Recycling within our city has become easy, now we
want to encourage you to help us out and join our fight to improve
the environment for the next generation of San Antonians.
