Turn around, don't
drown. Use caution during spring storms.
San Antonio has experienced significant
spring rainfall over the last few weeks. While the precipitation is
welcome to increase Edwards Aquifer levels as another hot, dry South
Texas summer approaches, it also reminds motorists to exercise caution
as they drive through low water crossings and other areas that may
experience flash floods. |

Brush
up on brush collection
Is it time for a little spring cleaning?
If you’re thinking about trimming your trees or putting that old
mattress out for the garbage, hold on. Long tree limbs, mattresses and
appliances are not picked up through your regular garbage collection
services. Don’t dump these items on your curb. Wait until you receive
a yellow brush collection notice letting you know it’s your turn to
dispose of such items. |
Take the challenge. Plant a tree
City of San Antonio staff recently
launched the Neighborhood Challenge and Commercial Tree Planting
programs with the goal of planting 825 new trees across the city
during the upcoming fall tree planting season. |
