The Office of Military Affairs coordinates and facilitates the community’s support for BRAC implementation in our community. The office will work with local community leaders, particularly the Military Transformation Task Force, to develop a Growth Management Plan that will address the challenges and opportunities from BRAC-related growth in San Antonio.

The Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce has excellent information on relocating to San Antonio including information on real estate, medical providers, local schools and neighborhood churches.

For information on Federal contracting opportunities, please visit the current edition of the San Antonio Military Construction Program Outlook StoryboardStoryboard updates will be made monthly and posted on this website the first week of each month.

Requirements for Federal Contracting are located on the Contracting Opportunities page of this website. In addition, the Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) provides counseling to small businesses. For a list of services provided, please visit the PTAC website.

Military Transformation Task Force

The Military Transformation Task Force (MTTF) is a City of San Antonio, Bexar County, and Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce initiative to share information, assist the military in implementing BRAC, address any impacts on the community and leverage BRAC to strengthen our economy and revitalize our neighborhoods. The MTTF is tri-chaired by Councilwoman Sheila D. McNeil, Commissioner Tommy Adkisson, and Michael Novak of the Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce.

BRAC 2005 Growth Management Plan

The Growth Management Plan (GMP) study, overseen by the Office of Military Affairs and in coordination with the MTTF, was conducted by The DiLuzio Group, LLC.  The study examined:

  • Transportation & Infrastructure
  • Economic Development
  • Neighborhood Revitalization & Redevelopment
  • Health Care Delivery
