2008 Holiday Adopt-A-Military-Family
Working with Operation Homefront-Texas chapter, the Office of Military Affairs is collecting gift donations for San Antonio-based military families for the 2008 Holiday "Adopt-A-Military-Family". City employees are invited to participate by donating the following items:
The number of families the City will sponsor is determined by the number of City employees interested in participating.

The Office of Military Affairs coordinates and facilitates the community’s support for BRAC implementation in our community. The office will work with local community leaders, particularly the Military Transformation Task Force, to develop a Growth Management Plan that will address the challenges and opportunities from BRAC-related growth in San Antonio.

This informational tool was launched in an effort to provide more open communication about the upcoming BRAC construction work. Military Transformation Task Force
The Military Transformation Task Force (MTTF) is a City of San Antonio, Bexar County, and Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce initiative to share information, assist the military in implementing BRAC, address any impacts on the community and leverage BRAC to strengthen our economy and revitalize our neighborhoods. The MTTF is tri-chaired by Councilwoman Sheila D. McNeil, Commissioner Lyle Larson, and Michael Novak of the Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce.

BRAC 2005 Growth Management Plan
The Growth Management Plan is currently underway by the Office of Military Affairs in coordination with the MTTF. The Plan will consist of a number of studies to determine the community’s response to BRAC related growth in San Antonio. The studies will examine:
