Military aviation was born at Fort Sam Houston in 1910; the 9th
oldest Army Installation, Fort Sam Houston is also San Antonio's oldest military base.
Today Fort Sam Houston is located on 3,000 acres and is a growing and dynamic
installation, home of military medicine and part of Joint Base San Antonio. Find
