Get active, Get fit, San Antonio!
Get active. Get fit. Step up to Recreation. The San Antonio Parks and Recreation Department, in conjunction with Metropolitan Health, brings you a whole new era in outdoor exercise with the introduction of fitness equipment stations at area parks.
These stations feature high quality equipment that allows you to combine your cardio workout on the trails with a total body workout on the equipment.
The installation was made possible by an Americans Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funded grant entitled Communities Putting Prevention to Work (CPPW).
With the exception of Apache Creek, these parks are open 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. The linear park is open sunrise to sunset. Use of the equipment is free.
