As the days get shorter during the fall and winter months, so does the time we all have for exercising, but don’t give up your daily walk, jog, or run. The Parks and Recreation Department has a number of parks with lighted walking trails. These parks are open until 11 p.m. daily. The parks listed have outdoor fitness equipment to add to your workout:
Arnold Park, 1011 Gillette
Cuellar Park,5626 San Fernando
Copernicus, 5003 Lord Road
Garza Park 1450 Mira Vista
Millers Pond Park, 6075 Old Pearsall Road
Southside Lions Park (on the community center, 3100 Hiawatha)
Woodlawn Lake (open until midnight)
