The Comprehensive Planning unit works with the citizens of San Antonio to develop community plans, and with other city
departments on plan implementation strategies. Once plans are adopted, this unit is responsible for updating them and processing
plan amendment requests. The Comprehensive Planning unit is also responsible for maintaining the lists of registered neighborhood
associations and community organizations. Additionally this unit administers the City's annexation policies, and responds to requests
from other regional jurisdictions for municipal boundary adjustments and ETJ (Extraterritorial Jursidiction) releases. Click on one of

The Design Zoning Districts include
overlay and base zoning districts with specific development standards.
These include Neighborhood Conservation Districts, Corridor Overlay Districts and other Special Zoning Districts.
