The Austin Highway/Harry Wurzbach (TAPS Memorial Boulevard) Metropolitan Corridor Overlay District (MC-3) establishes site and building design standards for future building construction along Austin Highway from McNay Art Museum to Loop 410 and along Harry Wurzbach (TAPS Memorial Boulevard) from Loop 410 to Fort Sam Houston. The zoning overlay district was led by the City of San Antonio Department of Planning and Community Development in association with City Council Districts 2, 9, and 10 as well as community stakeholders. The project was initiated by City Council Resolution 2011-04-07-009R and adopted by City Council Ordinance 2012-03-15-0200 on March 15, 2012.
