 From letter dated May
18, 2006
Dear Public Access Producer:
Portable Public Access
equipment is available to check out from the City of San Antonio. There are
five portable kits. Each includes a DV camcorder, Tripod, AC adaptor, AV
cables, battery and instruction book.
Producers
interested in checking out the kits will be required to take an
initial equipment use tutorial. The camcorders use a Mini DV format
tape and producers must provide their own brand name broadcast quality
tapes. The producer is responsible for editing program footage and
providing the City with a
30-minute DVD ready to air.
The use of any City Public Access production equipment is for the sole
purpose of creating programs to air on the Public Access channel. No
commercial or private use of the City equipment is allowed. Public
Access producers will be required to sign an agreement with the City,
prior to checking out equipment, agreeing to reimburse the City for
any damages or equipment loss while in the custody of the producer.
Please contact Frank Burns, Television Programming Coordinator, at
(210) 207-4000 for more information on program formatting, to schedule
a tutorial and to reserve a kit. Equipment can be checked out at 114
W. Commerce in the Municipal Plaza Building on the fourth floor. See
Use of Portable Equipment for Public Access
Producers
for terms of use and equipment agreement.
If you have any additional questions, please contact me at (210)
207-7234.
Best regards,
Diane Galvan
