The primary mission of Central Mapping is to serve
both internal and external customers by creating and
providing mapping exhibits and other graphical displays
that represent the location of Public Works Department
maintained infrastructure assets. Central Mapping relies
heavily on the use of Geographical Information System (GIS) data,
collection of data using GPS (Global Positioning System) devices,
and enterprise databases to service information requests.

providing technical assistance, training, and support for intradepartmental and interdepartmental GIS and GPS users.
