Street Operations
With over 250 employees and service centers
located in every quadrant of the city, Street
Operations is responsible for the coordination
of the city's street maintenance. Working
for the City's future, the Division's goal is to
provide timely and effective customer service,
comprehensive maintenance services, and enhance
pavement preservation.

Maintenance activities focus on the Infrastructure Management
Program (IMP) but also include additional
responsibilities which address basic services
with respect to the City’s infrastructure:
- Pothole Patching
- Base and Pavement Repair
- Paver Maintenance and Repair
- Concrete Construction and Repair
- Roadway Maintenance
- Alley Maintenance
- Bridge and Barrier Repair
- 24-Hour Emergency Traffic Management Service
- Inclement Weather and Emergency Response
- Bridge and Street De-icing
- Flood and Storm Response
- Emergency Barricading
Currently, Street
Operations performs two primary types of
maintenance applications which include
rehabilitation and sealant services.
Rehabilitation is a structural street
maintenance application performed by city force
and/or contractual means to include localized
base repair with the appropriate surface
application listed below:
A sealant is a
non-structural street maintenance application
performed by city force and/or contractual means
which may or may not include localized base and
pavement repair. Current sealant applications
are:
