Traffic Impact Analysis (TIA)
TIAs are reviewed by the
Development Services Department

In 1996, the San Antonio City Council approved the requirement for a Traffic Impact Analysis (TIA) to be conducted for new developments which may potentially increase traffic on existing highways and streets. Developers are required to conduct a TIA and submit it with their construction plans for review by the Engineering Division of the Development Services Department if a proposed development will generate at least 100 trips during the peak hour as outlined in Article V, Division 2, Section 35-502 of the Unified Development Code (UDC).
