CAM logoARTmosphere is the theme that is celebrated throughout the month of July with Contemporary Art Month. The Parks and Recreation Department honors the arts with an exhibit of paintings, sculptures and mixed media art created by students and instructors in the department's art program. An opening reception will be held July 9 beginning at 6:30 p.m. and prior to the BRAVO! performance at the Arneson River Theater.

The 2009 exhibit can be viewed at Bolivar Hall, La Villita, 428 Villita Street, for the month of July. The hours are 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The department's participation in CAM received the National Recreation and Park Society (NRPA) Southwest Regional Council Class I Arts & Humanities Award earlier this year.
