Public input meeting slated on proposed land transfer

The San Antonio Parks and Recreation Department will have a public input meeting at 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 16, to discuss the proposed transfer of properties adjacent to Government Canyon State Natural Area to the Texas Department of Parks and Wildlife. The meeting will take place at John Igo Library, 13330 Kyle Seale Parkway.

Under the proposed transfer, the properties will be maintained as natural areas for the use and enjoyment of citizens as well as the protection of the water quality and quantity of the Edwards Aquifer. The City of San Antonio will retain a conservation easement.
