Rental Facilities
Copernicus Community Center is one of 27 Parks and Recreation Department year-round community centers that has facilities that can be rented by the public. Rental of the facility includes the gym, game/activity room, kitchen facilities and multi-use rooms. The fees are as follows:
Gym practices and/or games - $25 per hour flat fee with two-hour minimum.
This gym is not available for volleyball rentals
General use entire facility - $50 an hour with a two-hour minimum plus $100 deposit if food is served.
Special events charging admission and/or selling concessions - $75 an hour with a two-hour minimum and $500 damage/cleanup deposit paid prior to a permit being issued. Deposit may be returned, less any expenses encountered by the City for cleaning or damage.(Beginning Sept. 26, 2009)
Any event with a DJ or band will require security.
Approximately four craft tables, three aluminum tables, one banquet table and 162 chairs are available with the rental. However, it is important to call the center at 648-1072 to confirm the number of tables and chairs that will be available for your rental.
