Community Forum slated on
proposed Voelcker Park

The City of San Antonio will conduct a community forum to receive public input and suggestions for the development of the proposed 311-acre Voelcker Park at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 24, at Churchill High School Auditorium, 12049 Blanco Road.

The City has purchased 107 acres of the property owned by the Max and Minnie Tomerlin Voelcker Fund. The property is located on either side of Wurzbach Parkway between Military Highway and Blanco Road. Funds to purchase an additional 204 acres has been included in the May 2007 bond election for a proposed total of 311 acres.

All citizens interested in the development of this property as a park are invited to attend the community forum.
