Martin Luther King Park offers a variety of recreational choices. It contains 39 picnic tables, a lighted basketball court and a lighted softball field, which are open to the public on a first-come first-serve basis.
It has three pavilions available for $40 for the first four hours Monday through Thursday and $25 an hour for every hour after that; or $80 for the first four hours and $25 for every hour after that on Friday through Sunday and holidays. The basketball court and softball field are available first-come, first-serve.
Park users often fish in the creek that runs through the park, which also contains two tennis courts, two volleyball courts, also open to the public.
Martin Luther King is home to the Eastside Boys and Girls Club.
