Southside Lions Park has two areas that serve the community in different ways.
The second area, which features a lake popular with people who like to fish, offers three pavilions available for rental and 35 barbecue/picnic units. The pavilions are available for $40 for the first four hours Monday through Thursday and $25 an hour for every hour after that; or $80 for the first four hours and $25 for every hour after that on Friday through Sunday and holidays. The basketball court and softball field are available first-come, first-serve.
Restrooms and off-street parking are available.
the park also features a community center, 3100 Hiawatha, which has facilities available for rentals. This includes gym rentals. It is available for volleyball rentals. No electricity is available.
