THE SAN ANTONIO POLICE DEPARTMENT is joining
with the Texas Department of Public Safety, TxDOT, and hundreds of police and
sheriff's departments throughout the state to launch a massive
statewide CLICK IT OR TICKET TEXAS effort to enforce the state's seat
belt and car seat laws for adults and children. Click It or Ticket Texas
raises awareness about one fact:
IF YOU DON'T BUCKLE UP, YOU'LL GET A TICKET.
SAPD, DPS, and other law enforcement agencies will be out in force
during the Memorial Day Initiative (May),
and again starting in November
through December 2008 (Thanksgiving and Christmas/New Year holidays), when increased
traffic deaths and injuries historically occur.
