HOWEVER, crimes in this list are in "preliminary" format. "Preliminary" means that later, after investigation, some of these reports may be changed in classification or unfounded. CRIMES : PART 1 CRIMES are: Homicide, Forcible Rape, Robbery, Assault (Aggravated, plus Simple), Burglary, Larceny (and Burglary Vehicle), and Vehicle Theft. For further Part 1 Crime definitions, please go to UCR CRIME CLASSIFICATIONS. PART 2 CRIMES listed here are: Stalking, Forgery, Fraud, Criminal Mischief (and Graffiti), Weapons Offenses, Prostitution, Sexual Assaults (not included in Part 1 Forcible Rape), Lewdness, Narcotics, Gambling, Family Offenses, Liquor Violations, Drunk, Disorderly Conduct, Kidnapping, Criminal Trespass, and Unauthorized Use of Motor Vehicle.

LOCATIONS : The Excel tables also include zip codes, City Council Districts and 2000 Census Tracts for each report, in addition to the SAPD Patrol District and the address. HOWEVER, PLEASE NOTE: In a small number of cases, the address listed for the crime will not match the zip/council/census numbers. In these cases, the address is for the CRIME, the others indicate where the Report was made (at a hospital, a substation, etc.) X - Y COORDINATES: Mapping Coordinates are State Plane NAD 27 Texas-South Central.
