Recycle your brush, leaves, and grass clippings at this site. This yard material is shredded into mulch that can be used in lawns and gardens.

Trash, construction debris, metal, stumps, roots and limbs larger than 6" diameter are not accepted at this site.

Mulch is available to anyone for $0.03 (three cents) per pound in increments of twenty (20) pounds. Bulk loading into a truck or trailer is provided with this fee.

Coarse ground mulch and Christmas tree mulch (which is only available for a limited time after January 1st) is free. Loading of this type of mulch is not provided.

In an effort to improve operational efficiency, construction on the Bitters Brush Recycling Center scale, scalehouse and access road began Monday, October 4, 2010.

Throughout the course of construction, the facility will remain open and will operate under its normal business hours, Monday through Sunday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Project signs have been located at the entrance of the facility to inform customers of the project. Additionally, a project fact sheet will be available at the facility upon request. Services provided at the facility will be slightly impacted during construction. The entrance to the facility will remain at 1800 Bitters Road. There will be minor modifications to access roads once customers enter the site. Specifically, during construction, the entrance road will be reduced to one lane. Customers exiting the facility will be detoured around the construction area on an access road that leads to 1800 Bitters Road. Payment for brush disposal will be based on volume upon entering the site at $4.47 per cubic yard and $4.75 per cubic yard for residential and commercial customers, respectively.
