Education plays a large role in the Westside community through institutions of higher education, two public school districts, workforce and job training programs, and its many private and charter schools.

Higher Education

The Westside is home to three of San Antonio’s best universities offering a wide variety of curricula in bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate programs. These three universities serve a large percentage of underrepresented groups in higher education and boast combined enrollments of over 12,000 students.
