Whether you own a small business or are thinking of starting one, the WDC can help connect you to the resources that you need.

Incentives

Depending upon where your small business is located, the number of employees that you have, and other factors, you may qualify for such incentives as Empowerment Zone wage credits and façade repair grants.

Loans

There are many options for acquisition of a small business loan including the South Texas Business Fund, ACCION Texas, the Community Development Loan Fund, and others.

Women-Owned Businesses

Visit the South Texas Women’s Business Center for help on developing a business plan, managing cash flow, learning more about the financial operations of a business and much more.

Workshops and Trainings

Free individual counseling and mentoring for small business owners or those planning to start a business will be held the first Saturday and third Monday of every month, beginning Saturday, August 2, at the Central Library (600 Soledad). To setup a counseling session, email scoreme@texas.net. These sessions are sponsored by the Alamo Chapter of SCORE in partnership with the San Antonio Public Library.
