Animal Care Services shatters lifesaving records in FY12

Strategic partnerships help ACS end fiscal year with historic live release rate

For the first time in the shelter’s 60 plus years, Animal Care Services has set a lifesaving record with an overall live release rate of 62% for the fiscal year. The record includes more than 11 thousand animals sent to rescue partners since October 1st of last year as well as 6,087 ACS adoptions.
