On December 18, 2018, the City of San Antonio hosted a public meeting to review Plaza Guadalupe conceptual plans and offer feedback. The American Institute of Architect's San Antonio Chapter of Latinos in Architecture presented two concept plans at the public meeting. 

The City of San Antonio held several public meetings in 2018 to provide residents the opportunity to offer feedback on the future plans for Plaza Guadalupe.

  3. October 29, 2018: Community Plática
  4. December 4, 2018: Listening Session
  5. December 18, 2018: Plaza Review

Plaza Guadalupe is open daily from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., and we want to invite you and your families to return to the plaza to enjoy the community space. We welcome partnerships in this effort, and encourage entities interested in participating in this testing phase to contact Jennifer Fraga at or 210.207.7819

Plan de Revitalización de la Plaza Guadalupe

El 18 de diciembre de 2018, la Ciudad de San Antonio organizó una reunión pública para revisar los planes conceptuales de la Plaza Guadalupe y escuchar los comentarios de la comunidad. El  American Institute of Architect's San Antonio Chapter of Latinos in Architecture presentó dos planes conceptuales en la reunión pública.

La Ciudad de San Antonio organizo varias reuniones públicas en 2018 para brindar a los residentes la oportunidad de ofrecer comentarios sobre los planes futuros para la Plaza Guadalupe.

  2. 25 de septiembre de 2018: Reunión de Vecinos
  3. 29 de octubre de 2018: Plática Comunitaria
  4. 4 de diciembre de 2018: Sesión de Escuchar
  5. 18 de diciembre de 2018: Examina el Plan para la Plaza Guadalupe

alameda theater Restoration Project


The Alameda Theater Conservancy (ATC) hosted a Revival in the Making: An Open House on Saturday, November 3rd, 2018 from 1-3 PM at the Henry Ford Academy: Alameda School for Art + Design. The ATC will host another community engagement opportunity in spring 2019, and more information will be posted on this webpage.

The Alameda Theater Conservancy (ATC) and Texas Public Radio (TPR) have engaged the team of Overland Partners and Martinez + Johnson Architecture for the full design of the Alameda Theater project. Click here for more information.

Alameda Theater Community Meeting Presentations

The City of San Antonio, in partnership with Bexar County, Texas Public Radio (TPR) and La Familia Cortez, invited the public to attend community meetings on June 27, 2017 and August 15, 2017 to discuss the conceptual plan and programming ideas for the historic Alameda Theater. 

The public is encouraged to share stories about the Alameda, along with photographs and other memorabilia. Stories will be recorded and items will be scanned and incorporated into a future exhibit celebrating the history of the Alameda. Read more about sharing your story.
