alameda theater Restoration Project

The City of San Antonio, in partnership with Bexar County, Texas Public Radio (TPR) and La Familia Cortez, invited the public to attend community meetings on June 27, 2017 and August 15, 2017 to discuss the conceptual plan and programming ideas for the historic Alameda Theater. 

Alameda Theater Community Meeting Presentations

The public is encouraged to share stories about the Alameda, along with photographs and other memorabilia. Stories will be recorded and items will be scanned and incorporated into a future exhibit celebrating the history of the Alameda. Read more about sharing your story.

Alameda Theater Request for Qualifications for Architectural Design Services

Alameda Social

The Alameda Theater Conservancy (ATC), a non-profit organization, is seeking qualified firms to provide architectural design services for the restoration of the Alameda Theater complex. The estimated cost for the project is $23 million. Qualified firms must have experience working on culturally significant projects with multiple stakeholders.
