The H-E-B Christmas tree will be in Travis Park through Jan. 6, 2019. Adorned with more than 10,000 lights and custom-made ornaments, the 50-foot Blue Spruce tree is H-E-B’s gift to the city. Travis Park is decorated with 250,000 lights across the park made possible by the Centro Public Improvement District.

 

SAN ANTONIO (Dec. 7, 2018) — Celebrate the holidays at Travis Park with free, family friendly events! Enjoy a spectacular holiday light display every evening through Jan. 6, 2019. Adorned with more than 10,000 lights and custom-made ornaments, the 50-foot Blue Spruce tree is H-E-B’s gift to the city. Travis Park is decorated with 250,000 lights across the park made possible by the Centro Public Improvement District.

 

The community is invited to attend events throughout the holidays at Travis Park, located at 301 E. Travis St.

 

Travis Park: First Fruits – Art Walk
Sunday, Dec. 9, 2:30-4:30 p.m.
Explore "Travis Park: First Fruits," a new public art installation inspired by local and American history by San Antonio artist Emily Fleisher. Hosted by the City of San Antonio Department of Arts & Culture, the free event features a walking tour led by the artist, and an all-ages art activity, free giveaways, and refreshments. Eat & Play in Travis Park
Tuesday, Dec. 11, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Enjoy a wide variety of local food trucks, live entertainment and activities during this lunchtime event in Travis Park. San Antonio Downtown Food Trucks will be collecting toy donations for a local charity. For more information, please visit the Facebook event page.

 

Here Comes Santa Claus
Tuesday, Dec. 11, 6-8 p.m., FREE
This event features Saint Mark’s Episcopal Church choir, live holiday music, free photos with Santa, face painting, food trucks, hot chocolate and festive activities for kids! Visitors are encouraged to take advantage of the City’s Downtown Tuesday program, which offers free parking in City-owned lots, garages and meters on Tuesdays from 5 p.m. – 2 a.m. For more information, please visit the Facebook event page.

 

Merry Movie Nights at Travis Park
Friday, Dec. 14 and 21, Activities from 4-6 p.m., movie starts at dusk, FREE
Enjoy over 250,000 holiday lights and activities including free photos with Santa, face painting, food trucks and hot chocolate provided by Travis Park United Methodist Church!

Food Trucks in Travis Park
Enjoy a rotating option of food truck vendors every weekday from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. (No food trucks the week of December 24).

 

Visitor Parking
There is ample parking near Travis Park. The City of San Antonio has several parking garages, lots and on-street meters nearby, with the nearest one being the St. Mary’s Street Garage on the corner of Travis and St. Mary’s, one block west of Travis Park. The St. Mary’s Street Garage offers $5 flat rate parking on non-event evenings and weekends. A full list of City-owned garages, lots and meters can be found here. Enjoy free parking after 5 p.m. at City operated garages, lots, and meters as part of Downtown Tuesday. In addition, there are numerous non-City owned lots and garages in the area where visitors can park for a fee, including the Travis Park Plaza Garage. For a map, click here.
