City of San Antonio seeks applicants for VIA Metropolitan Transit Authority Board of Trustees

SAN ANTONIO (June 2, 2020) – The City of San Antonio is seeking applicants to fill three positions on the VIA Metropolitan Transit Authority Board of Trustees, two of the appointees will serve terms of office to expire Dec. 31, 2021, and one will serve a term expiring Dec.31, 2020. The VIA Metropolitan Transit Board of Trustees is comprised of 11 members, of which five members are appointed by the City Council for staggered two-year terms. Members must be qualified voters residing within the VIA Metropolitan Transit service area. One member must be a representative of the transportation disadvantaged and one must be a union representative.
 
Members receive compensation of $50.00 per meeting. Board meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 5:00 PM at the VIA Metro Center located at 1021 San Pedro.
 
The positions will be open until Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. Applications are available at: https://webapp9.sanantonio.gov/BoardCommApplication/vacancies
