City of San Antonio seeks applicants for VIA Metropolitan Transit Authority Board of Trustees

SAN ANTONIO (Nov. 30, 2020) – The City of San Antonio is seeking applicants to fill five positions on the VIA Metropolitan Transit Authority Board of Trustees, two of the appointees will serve terms of office to expire Dec. 31, 2021; one must be a representative of the transportation disadvantaged and one must be a union representative.  Three appointees will serve terms of office to expire Dec.31, 2022.
 
The VIA Metropolitan Transit Authority Board of Trustees is comprised of 11 Trustees, of which five are appointed by the City Council for staggered terms of office two-years in length. Trustees must be qualified voters residing within the VIA Metropolitan Transit Authority service area.
 
Trustees receive compensation of $50.00 per meeting. Board meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 5:00 PM at the VIA Metro Center located at 1021 San Pedro.
 
The REVISED deadline to submit an application is Friday, December 11, 2020 by 12 noon. Applications are available at: https://webapp9.sanantonio.gov/BoardCommApplication/vacancies
