SAN ANTONIO (March 21, 2018) — The United States Conference of Mayors and the Partner America Program on Tuesday presented the Small Business Advocate Award to Mayor Ron Nirenberg, honoring his dedication to San Antonio’s small business community.
The prestigious award was presented in a ceremony Tuesday night at the Plaza de Armas Gallery.
“Mayor Nirenberg has a commitment to building San Antonio with a focus on local businesses while balancing sustainability goals,” the USCOM said in a prepared statement. “The Mayor ran on the promise of continuing San Antonio’s efforts in the development of small business to improve the local economy. His promise to the people of San Antonio is actively coming true each and every day.”
“I am honored to receive this small business advocate award,” said Mayor Nirenberg. “I have strongly supported city programs that helped stimulate San Antonio’s thriving entrepreneurial climate and the growth of our local small businesses.”
