The City of San Antonio continues to build an impressive trajectory of cutting-edge technological resources that will make it easier for residents to connect with their city government. The City launched a new webpage today, “Get Connected,” that will provide residents access to the City’s most requested information and services in a more efficient way and in one place.
"In this age of smart phones and fast-changing technology, it is critical that we give San Antonians new ways to access City services," Mayor Julián Castro said.
The City’s new webpage is located at http://www.sanantonio.gov/getconnected/mobileapps and complements the current menu of online resources and services available to residents at the City’s website, www.sanantonio.gov.
The “Get Connected” webpage includes 11 links to City services and information: Agendas; Boards and Commissions; City Council and Staff; City Manager and Executive Staff; Departments Directory; FAQs; Mobile Apps and Sites; Online Payments; Online Services; Bid and Contracting Opportunities; and Social Media Center.
“Get Connected” also includes links to the City’s five mobile and web-based apps which provide access to information related to 311, the Solid Waste Management Department, the San Antonio International Airport, and the San Antonio Convention and Visitors Bureau’s Official Travel Guide and SAVE app.
The City recently introduced the mobile apps for download and web-based mobile apps to help residents and visitors quickly find the information they are looking for, or the services they are requesting while “on-the-go.”
The City’s newest mobile app, San Antonio 311, allows residents to request City services from anywhere their smart phones go. They can submit service request reports directly through the app for graffiti removal, junk vehicles, overgrown yards, aggressive or dead animals, pothole repair, damaged garbage and recycle carts, and other City service requests. With their report submissions, residents can attach photos, identify a location, and check the status of reports.
