The deadline for nominations to be received for the City of San Antonio’s sixth annual Green Building Awards has been extended to Wednesday, April 16. Nomination forms are available online at sanantonio.gov/sustainability.
The awards will feature categories for new construction and retrofit projects, in both residential and commercial construction as well as exemplary renewable energy projects. This year’s awards will feature new categories for “Preeminent Green” project and “Organizational Green Practitioner” to highlight organizations and companies that have significantly influenced the number of green projects in San Antonio. The City has also broadened the timeframe of eligible projects to include any structure built between January 1, 2010 and December 31, 2013.
Winners will be announced at a special awards ceremony on Friday, June 20, 2014 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, 200 E. Market. St.
