SAN ANTONIO (April 5, 2019) — Below is a statement from Art A. Hall, District 2 Councilman, regarding recent shootings on Hays Street and Burleson Street in District 2.

“I want to make clear that violence against residents will not be tolerated and will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Chief William McManus and San Antonio police officers are actively pursuing leads to apprehend the perpetrators involved in two recent shootings in District 2. We are working with the City Manager and the San Antonio Police Department to increase the frequency of patrols in targeted areas and address crime-related concerns voiced by residents.  Public safety is our top priority at City Hall, and we stand with community members advocating for greater security. East side residents deserve to be protected and lead their lives without fear.”
