MODIFIED REOPENING AND COURT APPEARANCES

In-person

The Frank Wing Municipal Court Building, 401 S. Frio St. is open to direct physical public access for limited in-person appearances between 8am and 4pm, Monday through Friday for contact-free virtual hearings with judges and staff with the following restrictions:

  • Capacity of no more than 15 court users at a time (no friends or family currently allowed).
  • A face covering/mask is required to be worn at all times in the building. Temperature checks and COVID screening questions will be administered upon entry.
Contact free services for resolution of cases and citations

All individuals are encouraged to call or email the Court in lieu of making personal appearances to take care of their court business.

Magistration

The Magistration Court and Detention Center is open 24 hours per day. The City of San Antonio Municipal Court, with high regard for the health and safety of the community and our staff, has partially reopened to the public.

  • Do not send cash.
  • Clearly print the citation/case number on the check or money order to ensure the correct citation is credited.
Vulnerable Populations

If you are over age 65 or have a serious underlying health condition, such as high blood pressure, chronic lung disease, diabetes, obesity, asthma, or you have an immune system compromised by chemotherapy for cancer or other conditions requiring such therapy please contact the court by calling 210.207.8970 to discuss alternate accommodations to resolve your case.

 

REAPERTURA MODIFICADA Y COMPARECENCIAS DE CORTE

En persona

El edificio de la Corte Municipal Frank Wing, 401 S. Frio St. está abierto entre 8am y 4pm de lunes a viernes con acceso directo físico al público para comparecencias limitadas en persona para audiencias con jueces y con el personal siguiendo las siguientes restricciones :

  • Capacidad de no más de 15 usuarios de Corte al mismo tiempo (actualmente no se permiten familiares o amigos)
  • Se requiere traer máscara/cubrebocas en todo momento adentro del edificio. Revisión de temperatura y preguntas sobre covid serán administradas al entrar.
Servicios sin contacto para resolución de casos e infracciones

A todas las personas se les incentiva llamar o mandar un correo electrónico a la Courte en vez de hacer una comparecencia en persona para hacerse cargo de sus asuntos de corte.

Magistrado

La Corte de Magistrado y el Centro de Detención estan abiertos las 24 horas del día. La Corte de la Ciudad de San Antonio, con alta consideración a la seguridad de la comunidad y nuestro personal, ha vuelto abrir parcialmente al público.

When You Must Appear at the
Municipal Courthouse

Depending on your ticket (citation) and how you plan to handle it, you maybe able to use alternative payment options and court locations:

Online Online

You must appear on the court date and time of your citation or summons. If you contest your violation, you may request that the court set your case for trial. If you do not contest the violation, you may be able to resolve your violation by requesting a driver safety course, deferred disposition, a partial payment, payment plan or community service.

You must appear at the Municipal Courthouse for the following:

  • If you need to plead not guilty and set your case for trial
  • If you need an extension to pay your fine
  • If you need an extension to complete classes/community service hours assigned to you by the Judge
  • If you need to reset your court date
  • If your ticket does not qualify to be resolved online
