The Development Services Department (DSD) oversees several complex processes impacting various groups of individuals who want to develop and construct within the City of San Antonio. We have identified some of the more important areas that our citizens access on a regular basis and provided Easy Access to key areas of the website. sign up for department information
We encourage you to sign up using our online system to stay current on department information and news. With this system you can sign up to receive email messages on agendas, meetings, publications and other department information you choose.
Boards and commissions agendas
Access Boards and Commissions agendas through Legistar. You can filter this directory by the Board or Commission you want to view. By selecting 'Search Calendar', you can see the list of meetings and view the agenda for specific meeting dates.
permit applications submitted
Visit the DSD Reports section for lists of commercial and residential plans submitted, preliminary plan review (PPR) meetings, and building permits issued. Updates to this data are made on a weekly basis and are provided by Council District, Neighborhood Conservation District or Historic District.
PERMIT history search
Are you looking for permits issued for a particular address or by a certain contractor? Do you have the permit (A/P) number you want to check the status of? You can view this information at the Permit/Inspection Review page of the website.

Notifications can be obtained through our permitting system by signing up with an email address. Set up an account here or login to the Customer Alert System (CAS) to select to receive notifications.
DAILY INSPECTION TRACKING
You can see where your inspection is in the inspector's daily queue through our Route Optimization software. This conveniently allows you to plan your day more efficiently as you can see where your inspection is in the queue for that day. To sign up for this service login to the Customer Alert System (CAS). Visit the Inspection Scheduler to schedule an inspection from your mobile device.
