Development Services & Fire Marshal's 2018 Winter Holiday Schedule

In line with the City holiday schedule, the Development Services Department will be closed as follows:


November:
Nov. 12 – Veteran’s Day
Nov. 22 & 23 – Thanksgiving Holiday

December: 
Dec. 24, 2018 through Jan. 1, 2019 – Winter Holiday Break

The Development Services Department and the Fire Marshal’s Office will be closed Dec. 24, 2018 through Jan. 1, 2019 in observance of the City Winter Holiday.  Both offices will re-open on Jan. 2. 2019, as regularly scheduled, from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

City of San Antonio Protects Military Missions with Approval of Military Lighting Overlay District Extension

SAN ANTONIO (June 7, 2018) – Today, City Council approved the extension of the Military Lighting Overlay District (MLOD) to include regions around JBSA Lackland  and Lackland Medina Annex, furthering the mission of Military City, USA and taking another step toward protecting San Antonio’s military bases by adding military value. The MLOD zoning was designed to reduce light intensity levels, glare, direction and light pollution in areas surrounding military bases in order to preserve night-time training exercises occurring on bases.
