SAN ANTONIO (September 6, 2017) – Councilman William “Cruz” Shaw and City Officials celebrated the end of construction for two street projects in District 2 today. Olney Drive from Pansy to Ginger and Pansy Lane from Byrnes to the dead-end of the street were completely reconstructed to provide proper drainage. Both streets received new asphalt pavement, as well as new curbs, new sidewalks, driveway approaches, ADA wheel chair ramps at intersections, as well as new top soil and grass along the right of way areas.
“Improving our streets and sidewalks remains a top priority for our District,” stated District 2 Councilman William “Cruz” Shaw. “We are excited that today we celebrated the completion of major improvements along two of our streets."
The project was managed by Transportation & Capital Improvements for the City of San Antonio. The consultant for this project was Ford Engineering and construction was completed by Alamo City Constructors. The budget for this project was $580K from the 2016 Street Maintenance Program as part of the Infrastructure Management Program (IMP).
