This new development is intended not only to capture workforce renters, but also some of the students expected to populate St. Paul Square, where the University of Houston is planning to locate its hospitality school branch campus.

Crockett Lofts at Sunset Station is a significant opportunity for residents to call District 2 home,” said District 2 Councilman Alan Warrick. “A catalyst for future growth, this development is part of our efforts toward strengthening the urban core. This project is important not only to the economy, but it also provides much needed workforce housing.”

As part of the Center City Housing Incentive Program, the City will provide more than $619,000 in incentives and SAWS Impact fee waivers for the area’s growth and improvement. The project is scheduled to be completed within two years.

Crockett Lofts will provide families and students in the area a much needed option to live closer to where they work and go to school,” said Dan Markson, Senior Vice President, NRP Group LLC. “This public/private investment also provides continued momentum for development in the area.”
